Creative Strategies
This is a project to learn more about some creative strategies which are: Combination, Juxtaposition, Isolation, Metaphor, Change of context, Shape similarity and Material change. In this project I will be doing one composition for each strategy using a random simple object.
The object I chose:
I will use a cracker cookie as my object for this project.
And let's start with some sketches and brainstorming.
Maybe I am not the best drawer but the objective is to save the ideas that I get.
Let's continue exploring options with some visual assets and experiments.
That should be enough, now it is time to start to desing seriously.
And finally it is time to start checking the results of the project with some mock-ups.
Combination: This strategy is about bringing together two different or unrelated things to create a new object that still makes some sort of sense.
Juxtaposition: This strategy is more about contrast, i.e. showing the differences between two things rather than their similarities.
Isolation: This strategy focuses the viewer on an element in a composition by separating it visually from its surroundings or other objects.
Metaphor: This strategy contrasts objects with unnatural or uncommon environments to highlight a concept or communicate an idea.
Change of context: This strategy contrasts objects with unnatural or uncommon environments to highlight a concept or communicate an idea.
Shape similarity: This strategy uses physical similarities to showcase connections between objects that normally don’t connect.
Material change: This strategy swaps a material property that we are accustomed to with another.
